Chapter Two: Trick or Treat, Freak

In the second episode of the second season of Stranger Things – Chapter Two: Trick or Treat, Freak – we see the various characters of Hawkins struggling to cope with the aftermath of Will’s disappearance and the supernatural events that have unfolded in the town so far.

Joyce, Bob, and Mike’s sister Nancy help Will communicate using Morse code, while Hopper discovers strange vines growing beneath the fields on his property. Dustin secretly keeps Dart, the baby Demogorgon, as a pet in his room, not realizing the danger it poses.

Meanwhile, Nancy and Jonathan meet a conspiracy theorist named Murray Bauman to try to uncover the truth about what happened to Barb. They stage a fake breakup to draw attention to their story, but their investigation throws them off course.

Finally, the episode ends with Will experiencing more visions of the Upside Down and the Shadow Monster. As the threats become more imminent, the characters realize that they must work together if they want to survive the dangers lurking in Hawkins.
